Duluth-stämman Workshop: Beginning Scandinavian Fiddle

Zosha Warpeha leads a fiddle class for beginner and early intermediate fiddlers, teaching a Norwegian reinlender, a fun and bouncy styled tune that is danced to throughout the Nordic countries. Variants and alternate names include ringlender, regnlender, schottis, shottis. This workshop is taught by ear, but participants are given sheet music for the tune at the conclusion of the workshop.
This workshop is part of the the second annual Duluth-stämman: Nordic Music and Dance Festival, which offers dances, workshops, jam circles, performances and youth activities that aim to be inclusive to people of all ages, backgrounds and abilities.
