Duluth Community Garden Program’s Plant and Seed Sale is a fundraiser for the organization. Purchases directly support community gardening in Duluth accessible to all.
Transplants grown by Fairhaven Farm and a variety of high-quality seeds will be offered.
This year, thanks to a grant from Essentia Health, plants will be sold on a sliding scale. Customers with qualifying incomes will receive a discount on their purchases.
The sale is open to DCGP gardeners and members only from 9-10 a.m., then open to the public from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
The sale will be held in person at Peace Church for on-site shopping. Plants will mostly be inside, with a small selection of plants outside, weather dependent. We will have a personal shopper option for those who do not feel comfortable shopping inside. When using this option, customers can remain outside and choose plants and seeds from a menu, which the personal shopper volunteer will then go inside to get. Customers can pay at an outdoor check-out.
