The Duluth Superior Symphony Orchestra celebrates virtuosity in this concert, which opens with Chopin’s famous Piano Concerto No.1. Jonathan Leshnoff’s Symphony No. 4, subtitled Heichalos (Hebrew for “rooms”), explores mystical encounters with higher worlds. Claude Debussy’s La Mer is one of the most important works of a style that became known as musical Impressionism around the world.
