Delft Tile Workshop

“delft Title Workshop” is a class that will teach students how to make their own delft tiles. Each student will roll out and cut 4″ x 4″ porcelain tiles, and use authentic cobalt oxide to paint on a design of their choice. Students will also learn about the history of tiles. There will be paper and pencils provided so each student can practice their sketches before painting the final piece. All tiles will be fired once dry at a later date, and available for pick up when ready.

Registration Includes:
Instruction and all materials (clay, cobalt, and brushes) are provided. Students can make up to 4 tiles. All tiles will have a brushed on clear glaze applied and fired in a high fire kiln.
