Create a Raingarden

This workshop, lead by conservation professionals from Carlton Soil and Water Conservation District and South St. Louis Soil and Water Conservation District, covers step-by-step instructions to help participants successfully install a raingarden on their property. Plus, Carlton SWCD has funds available to help offset the costs of plants, compost, mulch, edging and other materials.

A raingarden is a small basin of colorful native plants that add beauty to yards and habitat for native bees, butterflies and other pollinators while collecting and infiltrating stormwater runoff from roofs, lawns or driveways before it enters lakes, rivers and streams.
