Artist Alison Aune will lead participants in creating unique paintings inspired by traditional kurbit (floral) and bonader (figurative) paintings from central and southern Sweden. Gain an understanding of the history and significance of Swedish folk painting in Minnesota today and new skills in reinterpreting traditional designs into a contemporary context.
