Commitment to Change: Safe Zone Training

This three-hour online workshop is structured around the Safe Zone Project curriculum, which helps prepare businesses and workplace culture to be better allies to LGBTQ+ clients, co-workers, friends and neighbors regardless of their gender identity or sexual orientation. Attendees can deepen their understanding of LGBTQ+ identities, vocabulary, challenges and accomplishments. Facilitators help attendees set goals businesses to build acts of inclusion and allyship within their workplaces and with their clients.

Safe Zone Training is given by Lake Superior College Executive Diversity Officer Sarah Lyons and Lake Superior College English faculty member Amy Jo Swing.
