Classic Christmas Tales at Glensheen

Glensheen is excited to announce tickets are now available for the upcoming Christmas season. Starting November 22, the mansion and estate will be decorated for the holiday season with daily self-guided tour offerings from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Evening Christmas Candlelight Tours, also self-guided, will be offered on Friday and Saturday evenings from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. beginning on Friday, November 29 through Saturday, December 28 with a bonus date of Thursday, December 26. In 2023, Glensheen received recognition as the #5 Best Holiday Historic Home Tour by USA Today alongside other popular historic homes such as Graceland in Memphis, TN, Biltmore in Asheville, NC, and the Newport Mansions in Rhode Island.

This year’s decorating theme for the mansion, Classic Christmas Tales at Glensheen, will allow guests to experience timeless Christmas tales brought to life through beautifully decorated rooms. Guests can reminisce about their own Christmas experiences and traditions as they explore 12 themed rooms focused on classic Christmas books and stories. With 25 trees, Congdon family ornaments and artifacts, historic photos, and Congdon family stories, you’ll be able to immerse yourself in the rich history and festive ambiance and see how Glensheen was made a home.

Select times and dates are available now. Guests are strongly encouraged to pre-purchase tickets in advance online as space is limited for daytime Full Mansion tours and evening Candlelight Tours, each of which are timed-entry. Daytime Classic tours may also be purchased in advance or onsite on the day of your visit.
