Participants can create a clay vessel perfect for holding light and casting interesting shadows. Ceramic artist Ashley Hise shares surface design techniques and strategies for building up and subtracting areas of a pot to create a unique sculpture designed to be illuminated. A wheel-thrown leather hard pot is provided to use as a ‘blank canvas.’ All levels of experience are welcome. The luminaries are available for pick-up after December 6.
The cost is $80 for Members and $100 for non-Members.
