Celebrate the Night Skies Week is September 20-27. Starry Skies North is pleased to announce the annual week of free public events that entertain, inform and raise awareness of the need to protect our night sky resources.
Friday Sept. 20, 9 p.m.- 11 p.m Telescope viewing star party at Barker’s Island
Sat. Sept. 21, 11 a.m.- 3 p.m. Great Lakes Aquarium aquatic life and light pollution plus children activities
Sat Sept. 21, 7 p.m. Night Sky Celebration: An Evening of Art, Story and Science Fitgers
Wed. Sept 25, 7 p.m. Planetarium show at Alworth Planetarium
Thurs. Sept 26, 7 p.m. Trivia night at Dovetail Cafe in the Duluth Folk School
Fri. Sept 27, 7 p.m. Hartley Nature Center: Explore the constellations with the free app Globe at Night.
