Duluth-based songbird Kaylee Matuszak and Iron Range one-man-band Steve Solkela have joined forces to fight a boredom-plagued society as the Berserk Blondes. With superpowers that include squeezebox anthems and string-plucked ditties sung in pure Minna-sotah style, the new duo promises to rend northland doldrums asunder. There will be music. There will be laughs. There will be amazing feats. The duo promises a little bit of rock ‘n’ roll, a little bit of pop and, yes, axes. Matuszak and Solkela call Berserk Blondes “a song-beltin’ adventure toward musical excellence.
