Candlelight Sessions: The Girl from Ipanema (Getz/Gilberto)

The event is an intimate candlelit album recreation of the “Getz/Gilberto” on performed by a small jazz group led by Randy Lee. The evening will include two 30-40 minute sets from the performers. One of which will include other music by the album creators, Stan Getz and João Gilberto, as well as music in similar styles to fit in within this recreation. The second set will include a recreation of the entire album as well as the famous hit “The Girl from Ipanema.” This intimate candlelight session will be the first of many hosted by The West Theatre.
