Bridging the Gap: Duluth Women’s 10 Mile
Event Navigation
A run created to empower women, and to cheer them on while they are celebrated. “Bridging the Gap” is a metaphor for the pay, accessibility and other gaps women face.
The Entrepreneur Fund (501c3) and Women’s Business Alliance created the Bridging the Gap Fund. A portion of the proceeds go to this fund that provides women with resources to build and grow sustainable businesses.
The race starts high above the big lake at Hawk Ridge with expansive Lake Superior views. Early on, athletes travel along Skyline Parkway, among the fall tree colors. Participants then “Bridge the Gap” on Seven Bridges Road with a descent that winds across Amity Creek before arriving at the Lake Superior shoreline. The second half of the course runs along the Lakewalk to the finish on the shore at Leif Erickson Park near downtown Duluth.
