Participants in this Duluth Folk School class will learn to spin wool fiber and make yarn with a spinning wheel.
The class covers:
– Basic principles of the spinning wheel
– Wool characteristics and how to draft wool
– Spinning a ‘single’ yarn
– Winding yarn off on a niddy-noddy
– Learning to make a 2-ply yarn (if time permits)
