The third annual John Beargrease Fur-K is a run or canicross event at North Star Academy and Snowflake Nordic Ski Center. There is a 5K and a 10K race, and also a 1k kids race — all on Snowflake’s cross-country ski trails.
The main event will be the live opening of the John Beargrease Sled Dog Marathon race musher sign-up.
There will be sled dogs, local food trucks, North Shore small businesses, artists, music, kid activities, bouncy house, raffles and more.

The Fur-K is a dog-friendly trail run. Participants must have dogs on a leash and must pick up their dog’s poop. Dogs are expected to be well-mannered to human and other dogs. No muzzles allowed.
