The annual Banff Mountain Film Festival World Tour returns to Duluth Jan. 10-11. This stop on the tour is hosted by the Duluth Cross Country Ski Club, and proceeds from the event benefit local community ski projects. Each day offers different films.
Banff Centre Mountain Film and Book Festival is held every fall in Banff, Alberta. The Banff Mountain Film Festival World Tour then hits the road with stops in roughly 550 communities and more than 40 countries across the globe, celebrating achievements in outdoor storytelling and filmmaking.
Doors open at 5 p.m. so attendees can check out gear at the local sponsor booths, watch gear demos, enter a raffle, grab a drink, try free samples from local vendors, and meet up with friends. Films start at 7 p.m.
Tickets are $30 at the door. Advance tickets are $25, available at decc.org or in person at the DECC ticket office adjacent to Amsoil Arena. Ticket office hours are Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
