At Sara’s Table Chester Creek Café 20th Anniversary Ribbon Cutting
Event Navigation
At Sara’s Table Chester Creek Café celebrates 20 years in business with an Oct. 5 ribbon cutting and an Oct. 6 open house. Friday’s ribbon cutting event, sponsored by the Duluth Area Chamber of Commerce, starts at 3 p.m. and will include appetizers, wine and photos.
The event will be held in the restaurant’s Skyroom.
Saturday’s event runs from 5 to 9 p.m. in the bar with live music, new and original menu inspired appetizers, unveiling of a local artist’s rendition of the restaurant and an announcement of an upcoming cookbook.
The restaurant has grown over the past 20 years, originating as a small quirky coffee shop and bookstore on Superior Street before moving to 1902 E. Eighth St. and becoming At Sara’s Table Chester Creek Café. The building’s most recent remodel includes an intimate private event room suitable for 30 people, known as the Skyroom, with views of Lake Superior.
The owners Barb Neubert and Carla Blumberg are known for their generosity to local groups and causes, creating an LGBTQ inclusive environment, supporting local farmers, and providing coffee drinks, wine, beer and seasonal food menus.
