Amwaaj

Amwaaj is a Minnesota-based ensemble performing classical, folk and modern music of the Arab world. They play on traditional instruments including the oud, violin, nay, buzuq, riqq and darbukkah/Egyptian tabla. The group will be joined by guest artist Rana Mishrawi on the qanun.

This is a rare opportunity to hear live classical Arabic music played on traditional instruments and to learn more about this elegant and sophisticated musical tradition.
