Exhibit Opening: Clumsy Wild and Vessels for Light

Painter and muralist Adam Swanson presents his new body of work, Clumsy Wild, during this opening reception. Swanson is fascinated by the way science fiction suggests a future for humanity transformed by major environmental changes and technological innovations. His invented landscapes ask viewers to consider unfamiliar places, such as the lines between true false, fiction and documentation, natural growth and urban development.

Also opening is the exhibit Vessels for Light, featuring the work of Duluth Ceramics Guild members Ashley Hise, Holly Jorde, Rita Morris and Barry Sands. In this group ceramics show, each artist explores the combination of clay and light.
