Meet the Artist Series: Rick Lundsten

Rick Lundsten works primarily in watercolor and gouache to bring out the vivid details of his work. From the stir of storm tossed waves on Superior to the engineering detail of ships and trains, he captures and conveys the feel and mood of each setting with precision.

Having won numerous awards throughout his youth, Lundsten has progressed to win recognition in numerous state and national competitions.

Two Loons Gallery’s third annual “Meet the Artist” exhibition series represents more than 200 local and regional artists whose work encompasses a wide range of media and styles focused on the natural beauty, history and the lifestyle of the region.

Each Saturday between June 3 and November 18, Two Loons hosts one of those artists, who will present work and speak with visitors regarding its content, motivations and inspirations. During these 24 weeks different artists, authors, photographers, woodworkers, glass artists, candle makers, potters, fabric artists and more will be present between 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. to meet with the public and feature demonstrations and activities.
