City Meeting: 2023 Street Project on First Avenue East

The city of Duluth is holding two public meetings on the 2023 project for reconstruction of First Avenue East between Superior Street and Third Street. This street and utility project will involve construction of new roadway pavement and sidewalks as well as water main replacement, new hot water mains and storm sewer replacement.
To allow for maximum public participation, two public meeting session options will be offered on Nov. 17 to provide information regarding the project and gather feedback. The first meeting will be held at noon and will be an online meeting. The second will be an in-person meeting. Building owners in the immediate vicinity of the project are encouraged to attend the in-person meeting to discuss project coordination needs, including the need for building inspection, building utility service interruptions, and construction staging issues with project staff.
