The the UMD Institute on the Environment shows the documentary Northern Nights, Starry Skies. This documentary is a co-production of PBS North and Hamline University’s Center for Global Environmental Education. Informational tabling and refreshments begin at 5:30 p.m. The documentary showing runs from 6-7 p.m. Tabling and conversation are set up from 7-7:30 p.m. This is a free event that requires registration in order to attend.

Business and community leaders join together for the inaugural Sustainability Awards and a state-of-the-environment presentation which will detail a green opportunity that could help to define the region’s economic future. Dr. Jennifer King, from the National Renewable Energy Lab, will present research that indicates how Minnesota can build the infrastructure for green iron/steel, concrete, e-fuels and fertilizer. The registration deadline is Monday, April 15, at 5 p.m. Lunch will be catered by Clyde Iron Works.
