The Twelve Holy Apostles church in Duluth hosts the Taste of Greece event each summer to honor community founders who came from various areas of Greece and to celebrate Greek culture and the Orthodox Christian faith. Food served will include lamb, souvlaki (shish kabobs), Athenian chicken, gyros, spanakopita, pastichio, dolmades, homemade Greek pastries and more. There will also be Greek dancing. Admission is free, but food and pastries have various prices.

Mentor North hosts its fourth annual Summer Fest, which features food trucks, a photo booth, yard games and prizes. Live music by Derecho Rhythm Section after an opening set by Berserk Blondes. The event aims to raise funds to support quality mentoring relationships for youth living across the Twin Ports. Doors open at 4:30 p.m. Tickets are $8 in advance online, or $10 at the door. All proceeds benefit youth mentoring in the Twin Ports.

Paddlin' for the Boundary Waters is a pre-party for the July 6 Trampled by Turtles concert at Bayfront Park and a fundraiser to support the Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness. It features a 6 p.m. performance by Dead Man Winter, a band led by Dave Simonett, who is a member of Trampled by Turtles and a board member of Sportsmen for the Boundary Waters. There will be a chance to win a Trampled by Turtles customized Sanborn canoe.
