The Walk for Thought brings the brain injury community together in a spirit of support for those affected by brain injury and a spirit of awareness for Minnesota as a whole. The funds brought in by the Walk are used to fund vital services provided by the Minnesota Brain Injury Alliance.

Sampo is hosting their yearly fundraiser. Enjoy a bowl of Mojakka "Finnish beef stew" with bread and sauna and swim for for free. The celebration also features live music with Dick Reese, raffles, baked goods and gently used items for sale. Meals are $15 for adults, $8 for kids under eight and $20 for Mojakka to-go.

Cheers to Chester is a party thrown by Ski Hut raising money for Growing Up Chester, Chester Bowl’s fundraising campaign to expand and renovate the Thom Storm Chalet. Supporters have the chance to win prizes by purchasing $10 raffle tickets. Ski Hut has donated many prizes, including an e-bike. There will be live music from Boxcar, beverages available for purchase from Bent Paddle and food available for purchase from the Rambler food truck.

The Depot United Campaign Kickoff supports the five art and culture organizations that call the St. Louis County Depot home: Lake Superior Railroad Museum, Duluth Superior Symphony Orchestra, Minnesota Ballet, St. Louis County Historical Society and the Depot Foundation. Free food and drinks will be served and music will be provided by the Randy Lee Trio. A brief program will take place from 5:45 to 6:15 p.m. The campaign timeline is Oct. 1 through Nov. 20.
