The Lake Superior Dragon Boat Festival runs Aug. 25-26, with races starting at 8 a.m. on Aug. 26. Organized by Rotary Club of Superior, the Lake Superior Dragon Boat Festival is the largest event in Superior and has raised more than $1.3 million to support charitable organizations in the Twin Ports. This year, the festival will be raising funds for 23rd Veteran, a local nonprofit focusing on military and veterans who have experienced trauma.

Neighborhood Youth Services, a program of the Family Freedom Center, presents its annual Community Day and Backpack Drive.
