Due to weather conditions and the saturation of Leif Erikson Park grounds, Downtown Duluth’s Movies in the Park is canceled for tonight, August 16th. It will be rescheduled for Sunday, August 18th. The Downtown Duluth Council presents Movies in the Park at Leif Erikson Park every Friday at sunset from mid-July to August. Start times differ slightly for each due to sunset. All of the selected movies are family-friendly and rated PG or PG-13.

The Strut event caters to Duluth's dogs and dog owners while fundraising for Animal Allies. Attendees can enjoy live music by Christopher David Hanson on the outdoor stage from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Blankets and chairs are welcome. There will also be silly pet tricks with prizes for the winner. Food and beverages are available. Animal Allies is tabling throughout the event.
