The 28th annual NorthShore Inline Marathon is a skating race along Highway 61. The half marathon starts at 6:45 a.m. and the full marathon starts at 8:45 a.m. The course follows the same route as Grandma's Marathon from Two Harbors down the North Shore, then rolls through the I-35 tunnels and finishes on the northbound frontage road. The Tunnel 10k race route takes participants through six tunnels on Interstate 35 through Duluth. The closed course allows runners to experience one of the most unique race routes in Minnesota. After the Interstate portion, runners continue along the St. Louis Bay to the finish line at the famous William A. Irvin, a retired lake freighter. There will be live music at the finish line.
