As part of the 50th Anniversary celebration, the Duluth Fiber Guild is hosting an artists’ reception for a members art exhibit at the Nordic Center. The exhibit reflects a Nordic theme through weaving, spinning, knitting, felting and other fiber related techniques and will be on display from Sept 2-30 during Nordic Center hours. Funding for the exhibit is provided by the LK Johnson Foundation, Arrowhead Regional Arts Council, MN State Legacy funds and private donors.

The Community Corn Roast is a family fun community event, hosted by the Apostolic Gospel Church that serves Duluth and surrounding areas. Enjoy a complimentary meal of BBQ pulled pork sandwiches and freshly roasted corn. There will be live entertainment, games, prize drawings and a bouncy house for the kids. The Duluth fire and police departments will come and educate the community on safety. All are welcome to attend. Event will happen rain or shine. Donations welcome.
