Sculptor, Jeffrey Tibbetts, is leading a hands on workshop where participants will carve a physical representation of their choosing from stone, and develop an understanding of the Anishinaabe (Ojibwe) world view. This program is intended for those ages 10-14 (accompanied by an adult) and older. Registration is not required, but signing up helps the artist-teacher prepare for the best experience. Writer Katie Perttunen teaches writing within six weeks at Foundations of Flash Fiction. Perttunen has published two books, written for three newspapers and was the poetry editor for an online literary magazine. This class is best for ages 12 and older and is for both experienced and beginner writers. Participants will need to bring paper, writing implements and the book "Elements of Style".
