This event is open to current and past Mentor North, Mentor Duluth and Mentor Superior participants and friends. Enjoy BBQ food, a Live DJ, a variety of yard games, arts & crafts, spin art, photo ops, archery and more. Mentor North's mission is to celebrate youth and support their families through one-on-one mentorship and community engagement. Serving Duluth and Superior, Mentor North enrolls youth (ages 7-14) who want a mentor and matches them with adult volunteers for supported mentoring relationships.

Derecho, a funk band who plays originals and covers, performs at this Music on the Ship concert. Located atop of the historic William A. Irvin freighter, Music on the Ship features live music in a variety of genres, performed by local musicians. This series takes place on Thursdays from July 25 through August 29. Attendees are encouraged to bring their own chairs. Mocktails and soft drinks will be available for purchase. There is a maximum of 140 people per show.

From 9 to 10 a.m. on Mondays and Wednesdays, guests can walk the pathways of the Lake Superior Zoo, have coffee on the Tiger Deck and see the animals before the zoo opens. Admission is free for zoo members and $5 for non-members. Members may bring a friend for a special rate of $3.

An accessible day of bird-focused fun in the Superior Municipal Forest. Free transportation is available from Superior Public Library at 9:20 a.m. Accessible parking, American Sign Language interpretation and binoculars with a wheelchair mount are provided. A track chair -- an all-terrain, electric-powered chair that can be used on hiking trails -- will be available, along with a scooter and walkers courtesy of indiGO.
