This year's event will have children’s programming provided by Northern Expressions Arts Collective and also feature a Green Jobs Fair. Business and community leaders join together for the inaugural Sustainability Awards and a state-of-the-environment presentation which will detail a green opportunity that could help to define the region’s economic future. Dr. Jennifer King, from the National Renewable Energy Lab, will present research that indicates how Minnesota can build the infrastructure for green iron/steel, concrete, e-fuels and fertilizer. The registration deadline is Monday, April 15, at 5 p.m. Lunch will be catered by Clyde Iron Works.

Music and art are the themes of the Twin Ports May Day Labor Rally. A free picnic lunch with vegan options will start at noon with the program to follow. The rally will also feature round-table discussions and tabling by organizations. Noted labor historian Peter Rachleff, an emeritus professor at Macalester College, will provide the keynote address.
