Duluth Community Needs Survey

The public is encouraged to participate in the 2014 Community Needs Survey conducted by the city of Duluth. It takes five minutes and will help develop an understanding of the needs of Duluth neighborhoods and identify potential improvements in services for low-income residents. The survey will be open through May 7.

Paper surveys will also be available at all three Duluth Public Library branches or copies can be requested from:

City offers low interest loans to replace flood-damaged furnaces and water heaters

Comfort Systems, the utility provider in the city of Duluth, is offering a low-interest Home Energy Loan program for victims of the Northland Flash Flood who may need to replace furnaces, water heaters, or insulation in walls due to flood damage. The program offers low monthly payments, energy and costs savings for participants, and a low interest rate of 4.99%.

Sept. 11 Northland Community Observance

Join the community on Sunday, Sept. 11 at 1 p.m. at the DECC auditorium to remember the victims, honor our brave, and promote peace and understanding.

Peace vigil for Norway at Enger Park

Come to Enger Park tonight, Wednesday, at 7 pm for a peace vigil to honor and remember the victims in Oslo, Norway. Speakers and Norwegian music are planned. The group will gather at the parking lot and walk up to Enger Tower together.
