After making the official announcement today that she’s running for President of the United States, Michele Bachmann told Fox News: “Just like John Wayne was from Waterloo, Iowa — that’s the kind of spirit that I have, too.”
One little problem: The famous star of western films is from Winterset, Iowa — 150 miles from Waterloo. Serial killer John Wayne Gacy lived in Waterloo, though.
Shot in Bemidji. Starring Owen Kosevich after his first bike ride, with his father Nick behind the camera.
“I feel happy of myself!” Owen says. “Everybody, I know you can believe in yourself. If you believe in yourself, you will know how to ride a bike! If you don’t you just keep practicing. Sparky’s specific post on this is called “Porcupine Spring Snack.”
It’s official now. He said it.
“I’m Tim Pawlenty, and I’m running for President of the United States.”

A crew from The Daily Show with Jon Stewart was at the Capital in Madison on Monday to shoot some sort of a bit that involved a camel. As handlers started to walk the camel around a barricade, well, things got ugly. Jack Craver of the weekly Isthmus newspaper caught it on video.
The camel was not injured. Firefighters on the scene helped untangle things.
