Lost dog in Lincoln Park

I was walking in Lincoln Park just an hour ago and this female dog seemed to not know where to go. She was poking her nose in snowbanks back and forth for blocks along Third street. She wouldn’t let me get close enough to see her tags. She’s golden hued, sort of like a short-haired golden retriever if there is such a thing. She has a white muff (chin and neck). She’s donning a red collar. The likelihood that someone reading this will find her is minimal, but I figured the readership here would know people who know people to take care of these type of things. It’s not that warm out there.

Could you please post this info in Lost Dogs MN? There's a brief form to fill out with the info. They post it and it gets around fast.

I am missing a dog that kind of meets that description. Could you please call me ASAP. My name is Lindsey and my phone number is 218.722.7424. My dad is on his way to that area right now, but I would just like to know a little more info about the dog.

My husband, dad and friend looked in the area you mentioned tonight, but didn't have any luck. If you could please look at our Craiglist ad and respond back on here or call me and let me know if that is the dog you spotted today, it would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks again,

That definitely looks like a younger version of her. Somebody said contact Lost Dogs MN. I haven't done that.

She looked and acted a little more timid than in the photo (tail between legs). Even though she followed me for awhile (couple blocks), she wouldn't let me touch her or get close enough to read her tags.

Hopefully she finds her way home soon. At least she's part husky, so better able to handle the weather.

I'll keep an eye out for her as well (I have husky-hunting skills honed from years of running after my runaway huskies).

I see the post has been deleted from Craigslist. Did Marley come home? I hope your sweet dog is at home, safe and sound.

Marley had to be put down, after being hit by a car this morning. I beg anyone, that if you ever see a dog that looks lost/confused and especially in this cold weather, please check Craigslist Lost and Found, Duluth News Tribune Lost and Found, Lost Dogs of MN website, call the police/pound...anything to save a dog from what happened to mine today.
