For shame on us. There must be better solutions. Someone who served his country in Afghanistan sleeping under a freeway bridge. 200 people a night homeless in Duluth? I am to blame and many of you are to blame. Let us make this our call to action. What can you do? Join the outreach volunteers that check on the homeless, donate to the CHUM capital funds campaign, donate to help homeless vets. Better yet, let's all get our hands dirty and help - homelessness isn't going away even if we move them from a place they feel safe and secure. How appropriate this runs on the day the government shut down starts - the government is not the answer - we are.

Has that ever stopped anyone before?

Those no trespassing signs should totally keep those illegal homeless people out. Homelessness is illegal, right?

Homelessness is not illegal, it is a problem and anyone at any time can end up in our shoes. There is not enough affordable housing here and that is the problem, not us homeless. Get the facts straight, please.

To be fair, things are usually my fault...

vicarious, it may not be you but it is myself and everyone else who is doing nothing to change the fact Duluth has people who live under a freeway overpass. We can do better.

Meanwhile the city is cracking down on people who rent without a licence and loud mufflers.
