Considering the way this played out after the St. Paul announcement, they might want to honor tickets for that show, since your likely core audience here bought tix for Midway. At $80, I won't be going to both.

So does this mean everyone has to stand for the whole concert?

No. You can bring a blanket to sit on.

The estimate for tickets sold in 1999 for the Dylan/Simon concert at Bayfront was 20,000. That was before the Great Lakes Aquarium was built and before the park was renovated. Capacity back then was 25,000.

The armory's going to get built for sure now!

Did anyone actually like the '99 concert? I thought that both Dylan and Simon sounded washed up back then (14 years ago).

This should be one hell of a Geezer party, forcing their kids to see this living legend too under the guise that 'you'll thank me one day,' though it may linger more like canned spinach in their collective memories. They'll probably start tossing things at Morning Jacket during Black Medal if Pete Seeger doesn't try to cut the cables.  All in all, I think Dylan has mostly shown me the ability to smoke tobacco into your eighties is merely genetic, and Jewish Mn boys are among the heartiest. He's the original hipster. I'll be trippin' balls and probably fall into the bay. See y'all there!

I was at the 1998 arena show as well as the 1999 Bayfront show. I'll remember the former until the day I day, the latter was a bit of a muddy overpopulated mess.

My question is, how is Bayfront as a music venue these days? Is it a good show for those who are unwilling to force themselves to the front of the crowd? 

Oh, and what about Richard Thompson? I'm surprised by how attention he is getting through all of this. I've heard good things about his performances.
