New book of interest if you have friends at UMD
I love talking about the literary writing world here, but I rarely talk about academic writing. I’d like to, this time, because I just finished c0-editing a freshly published book with articles by some of your neighbors. They were intentionally written to be accessible to a broad readership.
Power of One, a new open-access book published by the University of Minnesota Libraries, is now available to read online as an e-book or to download as a PDF.
This collection illustrates the power that one teacher, researcher or administrator has to change a campus and the hearts and minds of students. Through developing programs and redesigning courses, faculty can build a better tomorrow through international and intercultural education.
The book includes some very readable observations from experts in the field from Duluth — Denny Falk, Dana Lindaman and Ryan Goei, Marzell Gray, Jennifer Liang, Paula Pedersen, Viann Nguyen-Feng and me.
