Duluth Salvation Army building has hit century mark
A small feature in the Jan. 10, 1925 Duluth Herald mentions the opening of the “new” Salvation Army at 118 N. Third Ave. W. The building still stands, now serving as an annex to Hostel du Nord.
The brief text of the Herald story reads:
The local Salvation Army’s new building at Third avenue west, between First and Second streets, that is now open, is modern in every respect. The above are the first pictures taken since it was completed and shows the exterior and the large assembly room which will be used for meetings, services and entertainments.
