The big news behind the scenes at Perfect Duluth Day is that our longtime calendar editor has moved on and we have launched the search for a replacement. But before we get into that, we lead with the standard reminder that the PDD Calendar is run by human beings and not machines. So if you appreciate it, drop a few bucks in the PayPal account.

Yes, PDD does receive income from advertising, but it’s never been enough to pay anything close to living wages. So we occasionally put out these low-pressure nudges for donations. Follow this link for more info about our calendar fundraising.

So yeah, it’s true. After nearly eight years at the helm, Tony Bennett is no longer leading the PDD Calendar team. He was our third calendar editor, and the longest serving by far, holding down the position for nearly eight years.

And now we are searching for calendar editor number four. We promise not to nickname that person Number Four.

At present we have four people working on the event calendar in a limited capacity, including our most recent hire, Beth Ruark. But there are a lot of event submissions and … well … note the phrase “limited capacity” in the previous sentence. There are also some plans to expand a bit in the future. So we need more fingertips tapping and clicking.

Are we looking for a leader? Well, yes, but not necessarily. Good followers are equally hard to find. So the next hire could be someone who finds a low-stress side hustle or it could be the next person to climb our rickety corporate ladder and become a high-ranking executive at the PDD media empire.
