I live in the 15th east neighborhood and there is a scrawny, long-dark-haired-older woman that I am guessing stole one of my hanging plants. She seems to be a dumpster diver as I caught her going through ours and she will occasionally will walk by my house with some treasures she probably picked up. She came right up to my window one day to grab a rake that was resting against the house. I'm not saying it's her but I will keep my eye out to see if the chairs pop up on anyone's porch in my neighborhood.

Don't you hate that?!?  And nice old wicker is hard to find.  This happened in my neighborhood and the deck furniture was found in a nearby wooded area where "kids" had had a fire and were smoking and drinking -- kid stuff. You might check any vacant lots/kid hang out if you know them. Too bad.  So sad.

We keep our  lawn and patio furniture chained up. You might want to consider that when you do find them. It doesn't look that nice, but it stops the thieves.

I've seen patio furniture secured with a small cable. It wouldn't stop someone with a bolt-cutter, but it's enough to deter casual theives without looking like the front porch on the police state.
