DustyDogDusty the Trail Dog joins cyclists Jon Wells and Kyle Stark on the “Bones of the Beast” section of the Piedmont trail system in Duluth.

Great video. But Dusty is off leash. 

How do dog-owning mountain bikers reconcile this? And what do other trail and park users think?

I am not trying to troll. My dog loves running along when I’m mountain biking. We go at dawn when local trails are empty and we’re least likely to disturb other park users. We’re also less likely to be caught. Finally, the sunrises are amazing.
