Care package for Laurie Viets

Laurie Viets, native Superiorite and former DJ/Director for KUMD’s RPM show is confined to her hospital bed in Chicago for quite awhile. I’d like to organize a care package from the Northland for Laurie. She is pretty well stocked on magazines and books right now. I’m thinking crosswords, sodukus, hand held Yahtzee, those fun books with the invisible yellow magic markers, whatever.  Music is fun, anything to brighten her room, stuff for Canyon (baby name). Even just mail is entertaining!  Anything to break up the monotony would be appreciated.

If any of you have suggestions please let me know here or at, (igmossberger at hotmail dot com). I can setup a time and place for a drop-off. Laurie, if there’s anything you’d like, don’t be shy please let us know. God Bless.

Thanks for organizing this, Berv. I was going to see if I could get some Chris Monroe's yearly compilation mini-books of Violet Days. Since Chris frequesnts the site, maybe she'll read this.

Not sure which hospital in Chicago she's at, but its for like two months I think.  Check out her blog for more info.

I'm gonna go ahead and say Carmody Saturday Night at 9:00pm for the drop off.  Let me know if this doesn't work for you.

you guys are so nice!  I appreciate anything.  I am on Day 13 of captivity and it could be several more weeks-we hope it's several more weeks because the longer Canyon stays in me the less time he will have to spend in the Intensive Care Unit.  So far so good!

I think it's time for a road trip! Starfire and the others wanting to play Hearts should trek down to Chicago and engage Laurie in some serious playing cards action! Seriously, Laurie, if you are still on bedrest when I come to ChiTown next month, I'll bring along a Scrabble game and a deck of cards.
