TeebCon

I attended TeebCon at the Duluth Entertainment Convention Center. Perhaps the most magnificent sight was the Warhammer Tournament on the second floor.

A close second was local artist John Hoban. John usually does these events across the Midwest — we never get to see his talent for special effects makeup or comics at home.

Hoban was featured on WDSE-TV’s The PlayList in 2015.

Lots of local and regional vendors were at TeebCon. Clairemont Comics and Games came all the way from Eau Claire, but so too were locals like Sweeden Sweets, Rogue Robot (the game show that comes to every event), and below, Legacy Toys, which managed to get the booth covered by Raven and Beast Boy while the staff were on a break.

Stalwarts in the gaming community were there, too. The man in the photo below was responsible, in part, for keeping Warhammer alive after Robin Goodfellow closed in Downtown Duluth. It was good to see him here.

Some of the minis won awards.

There were guests, too — voice artists in animation, comic creators, some American Gladiators and more.
