KDLH TV used to be channel 3. KBJR TV was channel 6. Are these local affiliates merged? How do you watch CBS? Help me to understand as I no longer live there.

One other thing. The Duluth media market would be enriched by having access to the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation. Years past, broadcast Duluth television covered what is now Thunder Bay. Does it still? And can you watch CBC in Duluth?

A reorganizing at KBJR/KDLH in 2016 led to “CBS 3” broadcasting on channel 6.2. Those watching with a satellite dish or cable still view it on channel 3, which is why it carries the confusing brand of "CBS 3." But the CBS affiliate is no longer a KDLH station, it's under the KBJR callsign.

The two network affiliates began operating under joint sales and shared services agreements in 2005. KBJR and KDLH remained separately owned until 2018, but the CBS affiliation passed over to KBJR in 2016.

The Canadian Broadcasting Corporation is not available on broadcast television in Duluth and Duluth stations do not consider Thunder Bay to be part of the market.

An update on the ownership status of KQDS-TV Fox 21: Georgia-based Coastal Television Broadcasting Group completed its acquisition of the station from Red River Broadcasting and KQDS-TV Corp. on April 8, 2024.
