Bon Iver to play Bayfront Park in Duluth Aug. 18

Indie folk band Bon Iver will headline Honor the Earth’s “Water is Life: Stop Line 3” music, art and cultural festival at Bayfront Park in Duluth on Aug. 18. The event will also feature performances by Mumu Fresh, Annie Humphrey, David Huckfelt, Larry Long, Lissie, Charlie Parr, Corey Medina and Alan Sparhawk, among others.

In a post on Bon Iver’s Facebook page the band wrote: “We are deeply humbled to perform and gather alongside other musicians, artists, poets, and Indigenous elders in celebration of water and in resistance to the Line 3 pipeline threatening the waterways and Anishinaabe lands of northern Minnesota.”

Tickets are $65, available on axs.com. Proceeds from the event will go to Honor the Earth‘s climate justice efforts.

Of course, no parking will be allowed, unless you have an electric vehicle, but only if you charge it with renewable energy, and it contains no plastic.

No plastic water bottles will be allowed.

No synthetic clothing permitted.

No one with a heart stent or other imbedded medical appliance allowed.

Oh, and this has to an acoustic event only, right?

Railroad supporters are strongly encouraged to attend, as this is who this rally really supports!

So, I might drive through the "worm" during this time period. Should I be concerned that I could catch loser fever.

I hope the Bayfront gets its money up front.

Let the oil flow.

Does anyone have information on the length of set times? I'd love to see Bon Iver play a full length concert.
