This postcard was mailed 110 years ago today — Oct. 22, 1908 — to Ms. A. J. Niles of Viroqua, Wis.
The name of the sender isn’t clear. The message reads:
I wrote you once that Dewey’s was not lost. You sent it long time ago. Wrote to Proctor. The mumps are all around. We will be on the list I suppose. Jimmy walks all over now. Weighs 23 pounds. How is dad? Did I have the mumps on both sides? Big rain. No fires now. All well.
