The second photo was taken by M.J. Humphrey of Grand Marais. It is the Gunderson Fish House in Schroeder on Lake Superior. Humphrey also hand-colored several photos which the family has. The other fish house photos were probably along the Lake Superior shore in Schroeder.
The seventh photo down was taken at the old Lutsen Resort. According to a history of the area, which includes a copy of this photo, the man feeding seagulls was a resort employee.
The fourth picture down is the fish house in the bay at the mouth of Spruce Creek. Fished out of by Mogens Jentoft and my father Gust Johnson. Picture taken by Humphrey.
The seventh picture is taken of a Norwegian named Tranah. Not sure of the spelling of his name but I have this picture in pastels taken by Humphrey. He was a family friend of my grandparents and parents.
