Phantom Ship Kickstarter
Scott Gusts moved from Minneapolis to Walker in 2012 with plans to release a new Phantom Ship record inspired by his time spent on Lake Superior and in northern Minnesota. He’s running a Kickstarter for the project, which is halfway funded with five days to go.
Gusts did all of the art and design for the project. On the Kickstarter page he notes some of the adversity he’s faced putting the record together:
So what’s taken so long? Along the way I had two hard drive failures and had to completely put the album back together again (twice)! One of those times I accidentally ran over my laptop with my car (Yes, that really happened). On top of that I have been dealing with some serious health issues the last few years. Things are looking up though and the album sounds better than ever. I’ve also been able to build up a serious body of work and I’m excited to start sharing that with all of you!
