Postcards from the many beauty spots on the St. Louis River
As the One River, Many Stories project draws to a close, PDD presents the remaining St. Louis River postcards from the dusty digital archive. See the recommended links at the end of this post to check out more St. Louis River postcards.
This final postcard was mailed Aug. 14, 1941, to Helen and George J. Johnson in Mitchell, Iowa.
Dear Helen and all,
My sister and I have been visiting our youngest brother here for the past week and are having a wonderful time, but are leaving for Wisconsin soon. The folks have taken us around a lot, so we have seen some wonderful ????. This is the St. Laurence River [oops!]. We are living where we can see the boats come from Canada on the lake.
Love to all,
Emma
