Drain Duluth

This is fascinating and frightening. It’s from “Draining Zenith City” a blog entry by Dan Turner, a photographer, urban explorer and historian. The name of his blog is Substreet. The picture here is Chester Creek, somewhere under the Rose Garden. Turner has also documented other places around Duluth and Superior, and industrial and abandoned spaces across the country.

Loved reading and seeing what I don't have the nerve to checkout myself.
Some damage by flooding but interesting how the underbelly of the city stays virtually intact.

Beautiful photos. Well done is an understatement.

Many moons ago I followed Chester Creek from the Bowl down to the big lake-back when duct taping a minimag to your hat was the way to go for tunnel explorers. It was pretty cool (and refreshing since it was hot out that day). Definitely some hidden gems lurking below street level. Nice story, Zenith City.
